We finally got our first girls Schools hockey match under our belts and we certainly picked a cracker as Banbridge Academy entertained, 2020 Schools Cup Champions, BRA in the Schools Plate Quarter Final at Havelock Park on Saturday morning.

Banbridge started strongly and looked to have the better of a scoreless first quarter. However, the home side made their advantage count in the second quarter with a brace from Pippa Wilson who knocked in her first, from an acute angle, on the 20th minute before adding her second 5 minutes later having been given a clear run at the BRA keeper.

No further score in the quarter saw the teams turn round with Banbridge leading 2 . . .
