Enniskillen Royal Grammar School travelled to play Methodist College on a sunny Saturday morning, on an immaculate Pirie Park surface, ideal conditions for running rugby.

From kick off Methody looked to move the ball quickly from the point of contact, allowing the Enniskillen defence, little time to settle. After a series of quick ruck balls, prop forward Johnny O’Kane crashed over close to the posts. Ben McFarland added the extras for Methody to lead 7-0 on 8 minutes.

Methody’s attack was relentless and hooker, Jake Bowden scored twice from driving mauls after 10 and 26 minutes. Ben McFarland added a conversion to lead 19-0.
On the stroke of half time Ben McFarland raced in from near the half way line to score close to the posts. He added the conversion for Methody to lead 26-0 at the break.

A minute after the resumption David Armstrong scored under the posts, converted by Ben McFarland. Methody did not ease up & further pressure resulted in tries by Joe Dickson, Chris Bradley & Liam Black. Ben McFarland & Ryan Lindsay converted one each for Methody.
Methody added 2 further converted tries and Enniskillen replied with a consolation converted try to leave Methody with a comprehensive 66-7 victory.
