Enniskillen Royal took control of Group F in the Ulster Schools Cup with a comprehensive 40 – 10 win against Royal School Dungannon on Saturday morning.
Dungannon kicked off proceedings with an early penalty from out halfย Jack Girvan to take a 0 – 3 lead.ย

However, the home team pretty much dominated the rest of the first half with Aaron Crawford, Callum Smyton, Stuart Brown and David Stinson all crossing. Eddie Keyes converted three to give Enniskillen a 26 – 3 lead at half time.ย

In a much more competitive second half Enniskillen were restricted to two further tries towards the end of the third quarter. Neil Rutledge crossed for the first before the influential Smyton competed his brace shortly after. Keyes converted both to rattle the score along to 40 – 3 in Enniskillen’s favour.ย

Dungannon pushed hard to have some say in the game with outhalf Girvan prominent in attack.

The visitors pressure told with Enniskillen’s full back Brown receiving a red card for a high tackle and, after a period of sustained pressure on the Enniskillen line, Dungannon’s Adam Junk battled over for a try. Girvan added the extras to give a final score of Enniskillen Royal Grammar 40 Royal School Dungannon 10.ย
