Ballymena Academy entertained Royal School Armagh in the Quarter Final of the Medallion Shield on Saturday morning with the home side progressing to the Semi Finals following a 17 – 0 win.

The home side crossed three times in the first half with full back  crossing for a brace either side of an interception by out half . Miller converted one of the tries in windy conditions to give a 17 – 0 lead at half time.

Armagh battled throughout the game but struggled to break down the home team’s defence. The visitors enjoyed more territory and possession in a gutsy second half but Ballymena were determined to keep their line intact the game ending without further score.
