Schools Cup: Dromore High 8 Regent House 10 (R2)

Dromore High School hosted Regent House at Barban Hill in the Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Cup 2nd Round.

It was a game where defences dominated with chances few and far between in a tense first half,

Regent took the lead, courtesy of a penalty goal, minutes before half time. Dromore drew level with the last kick of the half when Rhys Dale’s penalty goal was successful to leave the score 3 – 3 at the break.

It was much the same fare early in the second half. Midway through the half Dromore found space on the left to allow to touch down for an unconverted try in the corner.

Dromore’s lead was only to last a few minutes, when barrelled his way over for a try, converted by Martin.

Despite their best efforts, both teams failed to score again leaving, Regent 10 – 8 winners and looking forward to a 3rd Round tie at home to Bangor GS.
