Methodist College produced a substantial victory against Sullivan Upper School on Saturday morning at Pirrie Park.
Sullivan took the lead through a Conor McKee penalty but that was it for the visitors as Methody ran in eight tries without response in their 52 – 3 win.
Kevin McNaboe, Ethan McIlroy (2), Thomas Armstrong (2), Adam Reid (2) and Robbie Armstrong all crossed for the home side with Mcilroy converting six.
Despite the overwhelming scoreline Methody will be disappointed with their overall performance. They dominated the loose, and whilst they held their own in scrums, their line outs misfired on a number of occasions. The main advantage was in open play where they they dominated a very willing Sullivan team, scoring from deep several times.
