Methodist College, Belfast, hosted Belfast Royal Academy on Saturday morning at Pirrie Park in an exciting game that Methody won 33-13.

An early converted Methody try was countered by two Academy penalties, before a further try for the hosts on the stroke of half time gave Methody a 12 – 6 lead as the team’s changed ends.

After the break Methody tied up possession & the ‘navy blue machine’ kicked into gear, scoring three converted tries to take the score to 33 – 6. With minutes to go BRA managed a consolation converted try.

(2), , Tom O’Doherty and all crossed for Methody with landing two penalties and one conversion.

Belfast Royal Academy’s kicked two penalties and converted ‘s try.
