Malone entertained local neighbours Belfast Harlequins at Gibson Park in the first round of the First Trust Senior Cup on Saturday afternoon.

The home team progressed to the second round with a 29 – 24 win outscoring their opponents by five tries to four.

The Malone scorers were Tom Patton, Callum Smyth, Michael Shiels, Ryan Clarke and Shane Kelly with Quins responding through Malcolm Corry, Kyle Adams and Richie McKee.
