Ulster to sign Will Addison

Ulster are set to announce the signing of centre Will Addison from Sale Sharks for the 2018/19 Guinness PRO14 season.

The signing was announced via Sale as they stated, “Following talks [with Director of Rugby, Steve Diamond], Will has decided that he will stand a better chance of achieving his ambition of playing international rugby by moving to the PRO14 side.”

Addison spent almost ten years at Sale’s academy having graduated from their academy, making 112 appearances and scoring 16 tries.

Appointed captain this season, he has featured 15 times without scoring a try but has taken on kicking duties with three conversions and a penalty to his name.

Before an injury-stricken 2017 he was touted as a potential England international with Will Greenwood praising his pace, versatility and distribution ahead of England’s tour of Australia.

He qualifies for Ireland through his grandmother but did feature at underage rugby for England U20s. With Ulster struggling to find a settled centre partnership due . . .
