Junior Shield: City of Derry 24 Enniskillen 10 Final

City of Derry defeated Ulster League Champions Enniskillen 24 – 10 in an eagerly anticipated Ulster Women’s Senior Shield Final at Judges Road on Sunday afternoon. 

Having tipped Enniskillen to win this one in my preview I clearly underestimated the strength of resolve in the Derry team who stormed out of the blocks with four first half tries from , , and , each one a big “Slap it up ya!” to the FRU’s predictions!  😯 

Enniskillen came back in the second half with two scores of their own but they were denied a league and cup double as Derry held on reasonably comfortably for the 24 – 10 win.
