Ulster rumbled to a 30 – 0 win over Edinburgh in the Guinness Pro12 at Ravenhill last night, snatching a bonus point on the way.

Tries came from Andrew Trimble (2), replacement Nick Williams and captain Rory Best with Paddy Jackson adding a conversion and two penalties before making way for Stuart Olding who chipped in with a conversion.

Centre Stuart McCloskey was the stand out player of the first half, setting up Trimble’s try on the 25th minute with a typically abrasive break in open play. Trimble still had plenty to do after McCloskey’s inside pass but his trademark charge for the line was somewhat helped by a cack handed attempt at a tackle by Tim Visser. Jackson’s conversion, on top of an earlier penalty, pushed the score along to 10 – 0.

Jackson took a knock shortly after with Stuart Olding coming on while the ginger one went for assessment but Jacko returned before the break to knock over his second penalty to take the half time score to 13 – 0.
