Ulster U20’s lost their last pre-season fixture going down 27 – 24 to London Irish U20’s with the English based side working them over up front, and in the scrums in particular, to score three tries from close range.

The Ulster backs responded with some good play looking a class apart from their counterparts but, as we all know, games are won up front and the front row will need to find better technique than their last outing.

Connacht travel to the match in pretty good form with a win against the touring Italian U20’s and a narrow one point loss to their Munster counterparts.

However I don’t expect that the Westies will cause Ulster as many problems up front as the English side did and Ulster’s classy backs should be able to add a bit of gloss on proceedings.
