PRO12: Teams up for Zebre v Ulster

Ulster Head Coach, Mark Anscombe, has made six personnel changes and one positional switch to the team that beat Edinburgh last weekend for tomorrow afternoon’s game against Zebre in Italy (kick off 3pm local time / 2pm UK and Ireland).

One of he old mantra’s of the game in my day, particularly when you were going on tour against unknown opposition, was to get your front five right and the rest would follow on from there.

Ulster are lucky, in part, on this matter as they have two outstanding front rows and really you would be happy with any of the possible combinations amongst the six players in the squad.

However, things could come unstuck, and unstuck pretty damn quickly, should anything happen the starting second row which would necessitate our new Captain Fantastic, Robbie Diack,  being asked to move into the boiler house – leaving us a bit short of ball carriers in the back row no mater how game Joyce or Doyle may be.

The back line looks classy enough . . .
