PRO12: Dragons 15 Ulster 8

ONE-DOES-NOT

Ulster produced a disjointed display to go down 15 – 8 to Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade, Newport on Friday night.

Ulster scored the only try of the game, with Wilson crossing in the first half, to add to a Jackson penalty, but the visitors failed to threaten the scoreboard in the second period allowing the Dragons to secure a comfortable win through the boot of Jason Tovey who added three penalties to a drop goal and penalty from the first half.

Neither side produced much in the opening exchanges but Tovey eventually broke the deadlock with a drop goal to give the home side a 3 – 0 lead.

Jackson levelled on the 13th minute, slotting over a penalty after good work in the scrum, but Tovey restored the Dragons lead, with a penalty of his own, following a Callum Black infringement.

A good catch a drive from Ulster . . .

  1. No probs, being Welsh helps.

  2. Oops – good point Mr Breddy (well represented) Think the overall display left our esteemed Ed suitably downhearted, hence the typo. Still – onwards and upwards #SUFTUM
