PRO12: Leinster 18 Ulster 22

by

Ulster got their season back on track with a comfortable enough win against a limited Leinster at the RDS. Ulster outclassed the European Champions all over the pitch only to have their scoring chances limited by a worryingly biased display of referring from Teir 1 Referee George Clancy who really should be sent to the naughty corner to reflect on his performance!

Despite the woeful performance from the man in the middle Ulster scored tries from Robbie Diack, in the first half, and from Iain Henderson in the second, Pienaar adding four penalties, but their dominance deserved much more and under a competent refereeing display a bonus point win would surely have been on the cards. 🙂

The Ulster performance was no surprise and neither frankly was Clancy’s as we’d predicted in our preview:

Yep, I’m going for a win for Ulster as I can see few leaders in the Leinster side, outside of Nacewa, whereas Ulster are coming down with men of steel, all with a point to prove. Best, Muller, Payne and, especially, Henry all bring something more than their individual talents and it’s this that gives our boys a . . .

  1. I find it hilarious that Leinster think Clancy favoured Ulster throughout the match. Blue tinted glasses all round!

  2. Just point out anything that’s factually incorrect. lol If you want a one eyed report just read the one on the IRFU!

  3. And I thought MY write-ups were one-eyed! “comfortable”, “limited”, “outclassed”? Ulster deserved the win alright but you’re pushing it with those terms for a 4-point winning margin methinks! Maybe George should have some company in the naughty corner 😉
