Women: Six Ulster players in Ireland Squad for Spain.

Six Ulster players have made the cut for the first Ireland Women’s team selection of the season. Amy Davis, Ashleigh Baxter, Grace Davitt and Larissa Muldoon are included in the backs with Lauren Day and Stacey Lea Kennedy in the forwards for Ireland’s warm up match against Spain this Sunday afternoon at Ashbourne RFC. KO 12:00.

The uncapped match is part of Ireland’s build up for this season’s Six Nations campaign where Ireland will be looking to continue their development following last seasons impressive performances. With England and France to play in Ashbourne this season the Irish camp will be hoping to turn over at least one of the big two and improve on their third place standing last season.

Spain lost to Italy 29 – 12 last month but put in an impressive performance against Wales in early January losing 7 – 0 in Cardiff and the Irish girls will be expecting a robust warm up match ahead of their Six Nations challenge.
