As attention turns once again to European competition and the start of the RBS 6 Nations, it’s all change at the top of the RaboDirect PRO12.

Leaders Ulster are still well clear of the chasing pack, but the remaining three Play –Off places have all dramaticallty changed hands: Reigning champions, Ospreys’ one point victory over Zebre raised them into the Play-Off Zone for the first time this season, whilst Glasgow Warriors were rewarded for their bonus point win over Benetton Treviso by claiming one of the potential home Play-Off spots.

The other big winners from Round 13 were Leinster who swapped places with fellow Irish Province, Munster following their defeat at Musgrave Park by Cardiff Blues. On the other hand Scarlets 47-17 loss to Ulster at Ravenhill saw them drop out of the top four places altogether (after a full round of games) for the first time this campaign.

The RaboDirect PRO12 returns the weekend of 8thFebruary . . .

Munster were defeated by Cardiff Blues at Musgrave Park and to be kind to Munster, Cardiff didn’t have to be very good to achieve this!
Now check this one out and I quote “If the Lions tour party was being picked tomorrow, Ronan O’Gara would be a serious contender writes CONOR GEORGE.”
Now don’t take my word for this, it’s a gem from the new kid (rugby correspondent?) on the block in today’s Irish Independant. 😡 😈 🙄 🙂 🙂 🙂
