I caught up with Pegasus for my last match on Saturday afternoon as they entertained Pembroke Wanderers in a Women’s All Ireland match at the Dub with the home side looking to build on an away win against Railway Union last time out.
Pembroke looked to apply the early pressure and the had the Pegasus defence scampering in the early exchanges. Pegasus came more into the game as the quarter progressed and they claimed the first goal 16 minutes in when Suzanne Ferris tapped in a pull back to give Pegasus a 1 – 0 lead as the teams went into the second quarter.

The visitors continued to push forward throughout the second quarter but the Pegasus defence held firm and the teams changed ends with the home side still defending their 1 . . .
