I picked up the early kick off EYHL match between Pegasus and Loreto at the Dub on Saturday afternoon. Both teams are vying for a top six finish and qualification for the EY Hockey Champions Trophy as their route into European competition next season.
It was a tight, tense match for the opening two quarters. Loreto worked hard to gain control of the midfield and had the lion’s share of possession keeping the formidable Pegasus defenders Shirley McCay and Kerri Magee on their toes.
