Irish Hockey Challenge: Mossley 4 NI Civil Service 1 Final

Our last match at Friends School Lisburn on Sunday was the Men’s Irish Hockey Challenge FInal between Mossley and Northern Ireland Civil Service.

Needing a comfort break and some time out of the relentless wind I missed the first half of this game. The score was at 1 – 1 when I joined at the start of the third quarter. Mossley had opened the scoring on the 25th minute with a field goal from Neal Glassey with NICS’s Ross Anderson leveling the game at 1 – 1 six minutes later.

Mossley’s Neal Glassy, center, picked up two goal in the game.

There were no goals in a wet, and continuingly windy, Q3 and the teams went into the final quarter with it all to play for.
