We caught up with the Women’s Irish Hockey Challenge 2 FInal between South Antrim and North Down at Friends School in Lisburn on Sunday afternoon.
With both teams playing on their shared ground it didn’t take them long to get up and running in a busy first quarter, despite the windy conditions.

South Antrim opened the scoring right at the end of the first quarter as Olivia Aughey converted a penalty corner for a 1 – 0 lead.
North Down tied the game mid way through the second quarter when Sophie Leckie found the net at a penalty corner and the teams went into the second half with the game at 1 – 1
