We caught up with the first half of the Women’s Premier League clash between Larne and Lurgan at Upper Cairncastle Road on Friday night.

Unfortunately, the pitch started to freeze over midway through the second quarter and the match was abandoned at half time.

It had been pretty even up until the break. Lurgan had enjoyed the bulk of territory and possession but Larne had defended well and probably created the best chance as the game built up towards what promised to be a tense and exciting second half.
