Senior Plate: Grosvenor Grammar 0 Dromore High 2 Quarter Final

On a cool Monday afternoon Grosvenor Grammar School faced Dromore High School in a Senior Plate Quarter Final in southeast Belfast.

Whether it was the cold wind or nerves but neither team could establish themselves in a scoreless 1st quarter. There was no lack of determination from both sides but neither midfield could click.

In the 2nd quarter Dromore started to edge territory and possession and created chances. Grosvenor were dangerous on the break.

Alex McClintock, centre, opened the scoring for Dromore

Finally, the deadlock was broken when Alex McClintock slammed home an angled shot to put Dromore 1-0 up after 23 minutes.

Halftime was reached with Dromore leading 1-0.
