We caught up with the Senior 2 clash between Owls and Ballyclare at Roughfort on Wednesday evening.
The match started in a persistent drizzle which didn’t help with the photography but it didn’t seem to affect the players too much as they produced a lively and entertaining game.
Ballyclare initially set the pace and their efforts were rewarded with a goal from Olivia Darragh seven minutes in and the visitors took a 0 – 1 lead into the second quarter.
A trade mark trick shot from Owls’ Karen Brady bamboozled the Ballyclare defence to take the score to 1 – 1 towards the end of Q2 and the teams went into the half time break with the game tied at 1 – 1.
