On Saturday lunchtime Owls 2XI entertained Bangor 2XI in a Junior League 5 fixture at Roughfort.

We took in the first 3 quarters of this interesting midday encounter with a goal in each quarter to keep the spectators (and their umbrellas) entertained. First off the mark were Owls with Jane Evans’ penalty corner beating the Bangor defence to open the scoring.

It took until midway through the second quarter for Bangor to draw level with a great effort from Karie McDermott, driving the ball past the keeper.
The midfield battles kept the umpires busy with lots of action.
