On a wet miserable Friday evening, Lisnagarvey were the visitors to Deramore Park to play Belfast Harlequins in a Women Premier fixture. When it wasn’t pouring, it was drizzled throughout the entire games!
Quins were under the cosh from push back. Garvey had territorial domination they couldn’t break down the Quins defence. As Garvey pressed forward the Quins attack lived off scraps. Despite Garvey’s advantage it was a scoreless 1st quarter.

Just as the 2nd quarter was going the way of the 1st quarter, Zara Hopkins struck a stunning goal to give Garvey a 1-0 lead after 26 minutes. Garvey held a 1-0 halftime lead.
