We caught up with the Ulster Hockey Women’s Senior 2 League match between CI and Owls at Belmont on Saturday afternoon.
Our friends at Owls are having a difficult season in Senior 2 and this was always going to be a tough fixture against To 3 side CI Ladies.
Having said that, this was a close game right up to the final whistle as both teams produced a lively end to end game.
It would be g=fair to say that defences dominated over the first three quarters as we went into the final quarter with the score at 0 – 0. Some saves by Owls keeper of note as they kept the CI attack at bay.
