On Wednesday afternoon Banbridge Academy played Methodist College in the U14 Stevenson Cup Final at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club.
Nerves got the better of both teams in an error strewn 1st quarter. Neither team could dominate, as the quarter remained scoreless.
Both teams settled in the 2nd quarter, playing end to end hockey. A through ball found Sophie Wylie unmarked in the circle. She slotted the ball under the advancing keeper for Methody to lead 1-0 after 20 minutes. Halftime was reached with Methody leading 1-0.
