We caught up with the McDowell Cup game between The Royal School Armagh and Rainey Endowed School 2XI’s on Thursday afternoon at College Hill, Armagh.
These two schools had contested the last two finals of this competition and, with both finals going to shootouts, a close game was expected.
Armagh enjoyed the better of the first quarter in terms of possession but Rainey’s Rois Gribben marshalled the defence with some authority and there was no score as the game went into the second quarter.
The visitors got on the scoreboard towards the end of the second quarter . . .
