Men All Ireland: Lisnagarvey 6 Corinthian 0

We caught up with the All Ireland Hockey League match between defending champions, Lisnagarvey, and Corinthian at Comber Road on Saturday afternoon.

The home team opened the scoring after five minutes, with a well-placed penalty stroke taken by Andrew Edgar. Within two minutes, Matthew Nelson took the score to 2 – 0, sliding in to fire into the roof of the net.

Lisnagarvey continued to dominate, but it took until the half-hour mark for them to breach the visitors’ defence when Ryan Getty broke free in the circle to drive home for a 3 – 0 lead.
