Over the weekend Athletics NI hosted the Home Nations Combined Events Championships at the Mary Peters Track. There was a disappointingly small field, albeit of high quality athletes, who braved the rigours of Northern Ireland autumnal weather, in the last track and field meeting of the year.

In the Senior Men, Stephen Simmons, 506, (England) won the Decathlon with 7,520 points from Alister Mackay, 503, (Scotland) in 2nd place with 7,041 points and Cal McClennan, 504, (Scotland) in 3rd place with 6,483 points.

In the Senior Women, Lily Holt, 514, (England) won the Heptathlon with 5,119 points from Laura Frawley, 516, (Ireland) in 2nd place with 4,568 . . .
