Over the weekend Athletics NI hosted its Combined Event Championships at the Mary Peters Track. On what was a lovely weekend for athletics, attendance over all age ranges was disappointing.
Newly crowned World University Gold Medallist, Kate O’Connor, Dundalk and St Gerards, dipped into some disciplines, throwing 13.87m in the Shot for 785 points.
In the pole vault, Ronan Boomer, Mid Ulster AC, set a new personal best of 3.80m, winning the Senior Decathlon with 5516 points.
