On a very sultry, sunny Saturday the Northern Ireland Masters Athletic Association held its annual championships at the Mary Peters Track. It attracted Masters athletes from the Province, as well as visitors from England, the Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

- Kulwinder Singh, Hillingdon AC, took 3rd in the M45 Shot, 2nd in the M45 Hammer, 3rd in the M45 Discus, 3rdin the M45 Javelin and 1st in the M45 Long Jump.
