On Saturday Lagan Valley AC promoted a British Milers Club Meeting at the Mary Peters Track. Conditions were challenging for both athletes and photographers! Heavy rain alternated with light rain for the duration of the meeting.
In the Blue Riband event, The John Allen MBE Memorial Mile, Nick Griggs, CNDR, set a new track and meeting record, winning in 3.55.97.
Eimear Maher, Dundrum South Dublin, won the women’s 1500m A race in 4.13.33.
