We caught up with the Junior League Shield Final between Kilkeel 2XI and Portadown 5XI on Saturday afternoon at Stormont Pavilion.

Kilkeel were first on the score board with an early goal from Katie Niblock .

Hands up if you scored! katie niblock picked up Kilkeel’s opening goal.

Portadown’s Nikki Graham found herself in clear space five minutes later to take the score to 1 – 1 in the closely contested game which was hit shorly after by a deluge of hail and rain.

The winner came in the closing minutes when Rebecca Purdy found the net to give Kilkeel a 2 – 1 . . .
