I stayed on at the University of Ulster Sports Village to take in the 1st half of Ulster Elks 4XI against Ballymoney 3XI in a Women’s Junior 8 league clash.

From early in the game Ballymoney took control of midfield, limiting Elks attacks. In their first real attack of the game Ballymoney took the lead, when Shirley Harvey touched in a high looping ball to put them 1-0 up in 3 minutes.

With Elks unable to get their attack moving it was Ballymoney, who consolidated their lead on 11 minutes, when Laura Moore shot home for 2-0.
