On Saturday morning Royal School Dungannon were the visitors to Roughfort to play Belfast Royal Academy in the quarter final of the Medallion Plate. A deceptively strong wind blew down the pitch, initially in Dungannon’s favour.
Dungannon were the first to strike, when Charlie Stimson was driven over from a lineout maul to give them a 5-0 lead, after 7 minutes.
They kept the scoreboard ticking over with a Joel Clarke penalty goal on 21 minutes for 8-0.

BRA hit back with a finely taken Adam Young try in the corner to pull BRA back to 5-8 after 25 minutes. Dungannon led 8-5 at halftime and faced the wind.
Only 2 minutes after the restart Marco Allen’s rampaging run down the left wing and score in the corner put BRA into the lead at 10-8.
