We aught up with the Women’s All Ireland Hockey League match between Ulster University elks and Catholic Institute early Saturday afternoon at Jordanstown.
The Elks responded well to the disappointing end to their game against Railway Union last week with another strong performance, this time against fourth place Catholic Institute.

The teams battled out a scoreless first quarter but the elks got their account up and running in the second quarter with a 23rd minute goal from Shannon McNellis in open play.
