Schools Friendly: Victoria College 4 Royal School Dungannon 0

On a cool Wednesday afternoon Royal School Dungannon were the visitors to Newforge Sports Complex to play Victoria College.

Victoria found their rhythm quickly shutting down midfield and starving Dungannon of possession. Dungannon were limited to occasional forays into the Victoria half. Victoria took the lead in the 11th minute, when Emily Mooney struck from a narrow angle to give Victoria a 1-0 1st quarter lead.

Despite territorial dominance Victoria couldn’t convert any of their chances and the 2nd quarter remained scoreless, with Victoria leading 1-0 at halftime.

Victoria continued to trap Dungannon in their own half and created several chances before Molly Young’s strike from a penalty corner doubled Victoria’s lead at 2-0.
