We caught up with the McConnell Shield match between Queen’s University 2XI and Pegasus 3XI at the Dub early on Saturday afternoon.

This was an even and hard fought contest with both teams having their period of ascendancy. However, defences were largely on top and we went into the final quarter with the score sheet untroubled with the game tied at 0 – 0.

Queen’s got the breakthrough goal two minutes into Q4 with Katie Thompson finding the back of the net, much to the delight of her team mates.
