I caught up with the Ulster Hockey Schoolgirls Junior Cup Match between Larne Grammar and The Royal School Armagh on Thursday afternoon at Larne.

Larne get ready for their game against Armagh

It was a closely contested first half with Armagh enjoying the bulk of territory and possession but the Larne defence worked hard with keeper Saoirse Bell taking control of the D.

Saoirse Bell was in top form in the nets for Larne.

Armagh finally broke through the dogged Larne defence in the third quarter with the hard working Pippa Scott getting the opening goal to give Armagh a 1 – 0 lead.
