Lisnagarvey HC was the venue for the Kirk Final between Banbridge and Lisnagarvey on Tuesday evening. Having contested 2 finals in the past few days, both coaches rotated their squads. For many players and spectators this game was very much a case of ‘déjà vu’ all over again!
The Denman Ulster Shield Final and Presentations overlapped with the push back time of the Kirk Cup, so I got over to the adjacent pitch, midway through the 3rd quarter.
After a scoreless 1st half Garvey had taken the lead with 2 goals in 2 minutes, from Oliver Kidd and Andrew Williamson.

They almost added a 3rd goal in the 3rd quarter’s closing moments.
