On Wednesday afternoon Clounagh Junior High School met Victoria College in the final of the Junior Shield at Stormont.
Both teams took time to settle in a scoreless 1st quarter, though Victoria had most territory and possession.

The stalemate was broken after 19 minutes, when Alex Poole scored from close range, from a penalty corner, for a 1-0 lead. Victoria continued to press but couldn’t convert chances, while the Clounagh forward line lived off scraps. Halftime was reached with Victoria leading 1-0.
Victoria continued to press and dominate, however Clounagh became dangerous on the break.
