On Saturday morning Victoria College played Portadown College in a Schools Friendly at Newforge. With the Schools Cup semi-finals scheduled for Wednesday Portadown had rotated their squad. With the Medallion Shield game further down the Malone Road, we took in the first half of this encounter.
The game had barely settled when a through pass caught the Victoria defence napping. Sophie McMahon outpaced the defenders before beating the advancing Victoria keeper to put Portadown 1-0 up in 2 minutes.
