On sunny, crisp Saturday morning Down High School travelled to the Shore Road to play Belfast High School in a schools’ friendly.
Down dominated the early exchanges and took a 6th minute 5-0 lead, when Ryan Connolly drove over from close range.
Following a lengthy delay, because of a serious knee injury to the High School scrum half, the game recommenced on an adjacent pitch.
On 18 minutes Connolly drove over for his 2nd try, converted by Josh McCaughy, for a 12-0 lead. Connolly completed his hat trick on 25 minutes to put Down 17-0 up.
