We caught up with the keenly contested match between Banbridge 2nd XI and Cookstown 2XI in Junior 1 at Havelock Park on Saturday afternoon.
It was a fairly even opening quarter but Banbridge, with perfect timing, opened the scoring with a strike from Matt Stevenson just before the break to give Bann a 1 – 0 lead.
The home team doubled their advantage midway through the second quarter as Mark Barlow picked up their second to take the score to 2 – 0 to Bann at half time.
