We caught up with the Kirk Cup group matches as Queen’s University Entertained North Down at the Dub on Saturday afternoon.
In a tussle for second place in Group C, the first quarter saw both teams cautiously sizing each other up. Queens, looking sharper from the outset, couldn’t find a breakthrough before the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter exploded into action. Stephen McDougall broke the deadlock with a pinpoint strike past the keeper, soon followed by another goal. He drove towards the near post and skillfully flicked the ball past the visitors again.
