Late Sunday afternoon was grey, overcast but, at least dry, as now, with the floodlights on, Ulster and Leinster took the pitch, at Havelock Park, Banbridge for the 2023 U18 Interprovincial decider.
As with the U16s the 1st quarter was a cagey affair and scoreless, and with midfield’s dominating, few chances were created for the forwards.
Midway through the 2nd quarter Ulster took the lead from a Tom Archbold strike, on 23 minutes, from open play. Ulster led 1-0 at halftime.
