Instonians RFC are not the only side at Shaw’s Bridge on an incredible streak of league match wins as Instonians HC 3rd XI also have a unbeaten streak stretching back a couple of years.
I popped down from the rugby at half time to catch the match against their latest challengers, Monkstown 2nd XI on what I’m assured is always a fiercely contested game between the two clubs.

In an even first half, Instonians edged ahead after an overhead pass from Ricky Lee was chased down by Robbie McConaghie who slipped the ball past the onrushing keeper for Brandon Anderson to slide home despite the best efforts of the covering Mossley . . .
