I caught up with Queens and Pegasus 2nd teams on Saturday lunchtime for their 1st against 3rd Junior 1 League match at the Dub.
It was an interesting game with contrasting styles. Pegasus enjoyed the bulk of territory and possession and Queens were happy to soak up the pressure and look to break out at speed.
Pegasus opened the scoring with a goal from Rachael Murdock having pressed their attack for most of the opening 8 minutes but Queen’s were level three minutes later after a quick break out led to a penalty corner which was converted by Rachel Black to take the score to 1 – 1 at the end of the first quarter.
